Prof. Afksendiyos Kalangos
Founder and President
Director of the Center for Congenital Heart and Tracheal Diseases at Euroclinic Hospital in Athens, Greece. He is a Professor of Cardiovascular Surgery at Koc University in Istanbul and a former full professor at Geneva University in Switzerland. He is the President and founder of the Kalangos Foundation, the President and founder of the Global Forum on Humanitarian Medicine in Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery, and the President and co-founder of Global Heart Network.
Prof. Kalangos was the former president of the World Society of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgeons from 2014 to 2015 and is the society's treasurer. He published over 300 articles, mainly in cardiovascular surgery and cardiology journals. He is the editor-in-chief of the JHCVM and JPCHD. He is also the inventor of the Kalangos biodegradable annuloplasty Ring. This device is used to repair mitral and tricuspid valves, especially in children.

Shaun Setty, M.D.
Medical Director
Dr. Setty is a cardiac surgeon based in California. Dr. Setty completed his general surgery residency at Oregon Health Sciences University, one of the country's largest general surgery training programs. He also spent a year during his training at Green Lane Hospital in New Zealand as a pediatric and adult cardiac surgery fellow. He then spent three years at the University of Minnesota/ Lillehei Heart Institute, the birthplace of cardiac surgery, completing his cardiothoracic surgery training. He performed his congenital heart surgery fellowship at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. Dr. Setty is triple-board-certified in surgery, thoracic surgery, & congenital heart surgery. He has experience in all aspects of pediatric and adult congenital cardiac surgery, including neonatal and transplant surgery. He is currently involved in basic and clinical cardiac research projects.
He is a member of the medical school honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Setty also has numerous peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and research presentations to his credit. He is heavily involved in humanitarian projects worldwide.
Dr.David Cornsweet
President of Divine Will Foundation
Dr.David Cornsweet, Ph.D. serves as the President of Divine Will Foundation as well as the Coordinator of the Sai Global Federation of Foundations. He also is the co-Trustee and Director of the Gumpert Foundation, a trust which provides funding, consulting and training for a group of charitable organizations in the United States. Holding a doctorate in Clinical Psychology, David was a psychotherapist in private practice for over 40 years and also taught classes in psychology and management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Deeply involved in both service and spiritual activities from his teen years, he believes that spirituality must be put into action and that selfless service benefits the provider at least as much as the receiver. David served in the California State Military Reserve wherein he led a unit which taught Combat Lifesaving and did troop evaluation for the California National Guard.
Dr. Andreas C Petropoulos
Member
A founder member (2011), a board member, and the scientific coordinator for the W.G. Prevention of Cardiac Diseases. Also, a founding member of the W.G.: Heart Failure, Pulmonary Hypertension and HTx since 2014. Dr. Petropoulos is a member of the European Pediatric Academy, The European Pediatric Association, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the European Association of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology, the American Heart Association, the European Society for Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Medicine and the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society of USA.
He currently works as a Senior Consultant providing CICU-ECMO as well as Fetal, Pediatric, and Adult Congenital Cardiology services in Cyprus and Greece while maintaining his academic post in Baku-Azerbaijan and a part-time teaching post at the University of Athens.
